EMILY LANE

I graduated from Rhode Island School of Design with a BFA in graphic design. My experience from working as a graphic designer has allowed me to see the empty canvas the way I view a new brochure to design. Composition, design elements, color and overall look are important in any medium I use.

My mixed-media paintings consist of acrylics, textured papers, textured gel mediums, oils and oil pastels. Brush strokes and textures are very important in my work and I like working on different parts of the canvas to create small paintings within paintings.
